With almost 40 years of listening to punk and hardcore and attending more gigs than I care to remember, I wanted to give back to the scene. With even less musical talent than Sid Vicious, being in a band was never an option. Instead, Punk Reviews UK was born.
There are some great sites of a similar vein that have existed for many years, but the majority of these have a heavy American focus. That is not a criticism; they do great work covering their market. However, the UK scene is in fantastic health and deserves a spotlight.
